Student Programs
The Reflections Program is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school but in life. Students in pre-K through grade 12 create original works of art in response to a theme. Students submit their completed works of art in one, or all, of the available arts categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. Local PTAs/Councils set their own deadlines for submissions to determine winners that are then submitted to WSPTA.
Reflections Resources for PTA Leaders
The WSPTA Essay Contest is to encourage and prompt the love of writing. Students are encouraged to participate by writing about the prompt that is picked annually by the programs committee. This year we are running our first essay prompt contest. Students are encouraged to enter the prompt contest and the essay contest.
WSPTA is proud to offer three different scholarships to make sure that every senior planning to pursue a post-secondary pathway can apply for a scholarship. The scholarship application has three parts: show something that is special to you, share your experiences, and us tell how your experiences will make a positive difference in the future. Check out the scholarship page to learn more about the three scholarships!
