Region Director Message
Welcome 2012!!! This year is already up and running, moving fast. We are already half way through the PTA year, I am continuing to met with as many local units as I can. If I haven’t been to yours, please send me an email or call me, I would love to attend.

As most of you know, the training by-law has been implemented this year. We are still working out the kinks, so bear with us. If you have not attended a training, please let the region 5 team or myself know so we can work with you to make sure your local unit stays in “Good Standing”. If you are not sure what that means, just ask. The region and state are here to help you be successful, we are your support for questions or concerns. PTA’s function smoothly when questions are answered and communication takes place.

Region 5 is continuing to hold PTA trainings, so if you need information please call, email or check out the website for that information. We are having winter trainings in February, officer transition in April, and PTA & The Law events are still going on. As most of you may know, DeMarco Best was put forth by the nominating committee to step up to Region Director for my 2nd year. You will find a ballot coming in the mail, PLEASE fill it out and send it in even though there is only one name on it.

I have enjoyed working with Region 5 in the Director capacity. I look forward to finishing my year and helping the local units and councils of this region make a smooth transition at my departure.

Thanks Region 5!
Tricia
