WSPTA's Region 4 covers Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason (except the North Mason School District), Pacific and Thurston Counties.
Region Director Message
It is hard to believe we are in March already! The school year is just flying by us so quickly. I want to thank all the units in Region 4 for their diligence in getting their bylaw training completed. I appreciate your enthusiasm and your willingness to do your part of keeping your unit in good standing. Making training a priority for your unit is important because you all are the keepers of a business and doing your due diligence is among many of your duties.

This time of the school year is always a good time to take a look at where you are, where you’ve been, and where you are going. Ask your PTA these questions:
- How are we doing with goals and budget?
- Is our Board of Directors still engaged?
- Were our events and programs in the fall successful or did they generate less interest than we expected?
- Did we complete a mid-year financial review?
- Have we elected our Nominating Committee?
- Where are we with membership as compared to our goal?
- Is our membership campaign still going strong or has it fallen by the wayside?
- What are our plans for the spring?
- Has a budget planning committee been selected?
- Do we have volunteers signed up for our spring programs and events?
- Have we been thanking our volunteers?
- Are we planning ahead for the transition of leadership?
By reviewing these answers & taking time to reflect, the rest of the school year may go more smoothly.
