It’s been a busy start to the new school year for everyone, from Open House & membership drives, plus Fall Fundraisers & Carnivals!!

I would like to give a big thank you to all the local units and councils who have completed the Bylaws Trainings (you know who you are).

Our Fall Conference and PTA & the Law had a fantastic turnout. See page 3 for another PTA & the Law in January. If you have officers who are in need of training, this is a great opportunity to fulfill that requirement. You will be notified soon if you have board members who are in that situation.

If your local unit/council have recently changed elected officers please let both Melissa Anderson manderson@wastatepta.org (at State) as well as myself know monikascotti66@gmail.com.

I was so happy to see so many membership forms come my way this year. I plan to join every single PTA that asked me, and remind you to please mail me a membership card, once my form has been processed.

As the holidays approach take time out for yourself and enjoy your family. PTA can and will survive without you for a couple of days. Happy Holidays to each and every one of you and thank you for ALL that YOU do for our kids.

North Kitsap PTA Council began the year by helping save one unit from dissolution. Thank you to Council Secretary, Kathy Sheriff and Regional Director, Monika Scotti, for their efforts to work with school principals and parents to keep the unit alive. We are fortunate to have principals who see the value and significance of a strong PTA in the school.

Unit sharing and community involvement has been a major focus of Council this year. NK Council will again host a PTA & the Law training session in January.
