Region 6
WSPTA’s Region 6 covers portions of King and Snohomish Counties. The Northshore, Seattle, Shoreline and Vashon Island School Districts reside within Region 6.
Region Director Message
As I begin to transition with incoming Region 6 Director Sarah DuCette, I’m reminded of what a superb learning opportunity my term as Region Director has been. The last year and a half has been full of challenges, surprises, hard work, and fun times. It has been a pleasure to work with the WSPTA Board of Directors – extraordinarily committed volunteers and visionaries, all of them – as well as with the WSPTA Executive Director and staff – all professional, courteous, responsible, and dedicated to the PTA’s vision and mission.
I have been blessed with wonderful Service Delivery Team members and have been comforted knowing that any one of them could have taken my place in an instant and everything would continue to operate smoothly – expendability is actually something we should all be working toward!
I so appreciate all the Region 6 PTA leaders I have come to know through phone calls, emails, trainings, and beyond. You are all doing such positive work for the children in our area and beyond. I have been inspired by you, and have learned from you. Thank you.
And please give a warm welcome to Sarah DuCette, whose term begins June 1. She is an experienced, wise, and compassionate PTA leader who will make great things happen in Region 6.
