Region 15 Director Elections
The Region Director Nominating Committee in Region
15 recently completed the process of attempting to find a nominee for the 2013-15 term. Unfortunately, after a lot of hard work, they were unsuccessful in finding a nominee.
According to WSPTA Policy Article 5, Section 3: If the Nominating Committee is unsuccessful in nominating a candidate by December 20th the following will occur:
- WSPTA President shall determine if the committee is in the process of selecting a nominee and anticipates submitting their report within ten (10) days.
- WSPTA Vice President or appointee may call a special meeting to elect a Region Director. Nominations are taken from the floor and votes are cast by ballot.
If you have questions regarding this, or would like more information about what the job of a Region Director entails, please contact Karen Albers, Washington State PTA Vice President at either

Region Director Message
Welcome to a new school year! It is hard to believe that the first month of school has come and gone and Fall is in full swing. Thank you to everyone who attended Fall Conference and PTA and the Law. We had a great turn out and I trust that everyone that came learned something new. If you were unable to attend PTA and the Law, we will be having an additional PTA and the Law, so please look for additional information coming soon.
At Fall Conference a nominating committee was elected to nominate a new Region Director for the 2013-2015 term. Please look for information to come to your unit seeking nominations for this position.
Please be sure that you are handing out your membership cards, the new cards are much improved and really highlight member benefits. If you need additional cards, please be sure to contact the state office.
