Director's Message
Some of you may ask what your Region 7 Team does for you. We are your support systemthe ones you can call to ask questions and find out information. We are here for you. We look forward to making your year a successful one and building leadership and membership at the same time. So please call us whether your question is big or small. We really want to help you.

Who am I? I have served as President of a large local unit for the past two years in Everett. We have run successful events in and outside of the school hours with about 45 active committees each year. This past last year I served as Council Secretary, learning more about how and what the minutes should look like. I have worked on the Nominating, Budget and Audit Committees at Council. I have learned first-hand how important it is to have a Nominating Committee to search out the best candidates for the positions. Prior to these life-changing experiences, I served as Vice-President in charge of volunteers at Penny Creek Elementary in Everett. I learned the importance of continually finding volunteers to help in all different roles. The more you thank them, the more likely they are to come back and work with your organization. The more they come back, then the more knowledgeable volunteers you will be able to delegate to. Yes, it is important to delegate and to be delegated to! I have only been in PTA for 4 years. I have two girls, one going into 4th grade and the other into 2nd. I work 40 hours a week as a meat supervisor at Costco.

I bring to you excitement and an excellent well-rounded TEAM from areas throughout the Region to help and support you. I am still looking for more team members. If you are interested or know someone please let me know.
