Every two years, Washington State PTA votes in a Top 5 and designates other issues that it considers timely. The association has numerous positions that support the well-being and education of all children and this process helps us focus our advocacy.
In the off years, adjustments can be made to the two-year platform, but the Top 5 stay in place.

Long-term vision, short-term priorities
WSPTA’s advocacy positions include the short-term legislative platform, above, as well as:
Legislative Principles, which in turn support PTA's mission to advocate for the well-being and education of all children
Resolutions are resources that can be cited by members, the board of directors, committees and staff to represent the PTA positions. They guide legislative advocacy and general advocacy in our local communities
