I began volunteering with PTA six years ago when my family moved to Washington from New York. It’s been fun working with other parents and rewarding seeing the support and commitment so many caring people bring to our schools.
I live in Anacortes, near the ferry to the San Juan Islands, with my husband Sanford and my son Marley, who is 12. Although originally a farm girl, before moving to this beautiful rural area I had spent my whole adult life in major cities – New York, Los Angeles and Boston. It is a joy to live in this lovely environment and we are all enjoying outdoor activities to the max.
