Angela Falcone
WSPTA Region 15 Director
I am so excited to begin my two-year term as Director for Region 15, the largest geographical region of Washington State PTA. This position will be fun, exciting and at times challenging. It is my goal that members of the Service Delivery Team and/or I have the opportunity to visit all of our local units in the area this year. It is our hope to provide assistance to all of our units to achieve the goals they have set forth for their units.

My PTA career began in 2004 when my oldest daughter was in Kindergarten. Like many of you, I was a bit overwhelmed with my first PTA meeting. I was surprised when there was a lack of hands going up to volunteer. When the Winter Festival was on the chopping block, I immediately raised my hand to chair it, thus began my inability to say “No”. Since then, I have served in a number of different capacities. I have chaired many events including carnivals, auctions, family fun nights, and father-daughter dances. I have served as a local unit President, Vice-President and Secretary, as well as Council Secretary. I also served on the Region Service Delivery team as Legislative Chair for two and a half years. This last year I had the honor of serving as the Interim Legislative Director for Washington State PTA, where I had the opportunity to visit with lawmakers and learn so much more about the advocacy capacity of National PTA and Washington State PTA. I am so proud to be a part of an association that makes a difference to the lives of children every day.

I have been married to my husband Jay for 13 years and we live in the Spokane Valley with our two children, Samantha 12 years old and Andrew 3 years old. I recently quit my job as a manager at a web development company to stay at home with my kids and to continue my education. During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, reading and when I find the time I like to get out to sing karaoke.
