I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer even thought our beautiful sun hasn’t come out a lot.
By being your Region Director I have been asked to tell you a little bit about myself.
Well here we go, I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada ( that’s right I am a Canook) I have no siblings. So growing up with both parents working was kind a boring. During my high school years which for us Canook’s is 8-12 my classes consisted of Photography, Sewing, Art and of course Cooking. I enjoyed cooking so much that I started cooking for the staff for breakfast and their lunch. So my passion truly stayed with cooking as many of you already have experienced.
I met my husband Jack in October 1986 who was in the Navy, at the time he as aboard the USS Ranger which is now decommissioned here in Bremerton. We had a short distanct relationship when we decided to get married on Feb. 14th 1987. We moved to Bremerton in 1988 and we have been here ever since. On January 12th 1990 my husband Jack and I were blessed with the birth or our son Tony.
In 1995 we bought our house, I was so glad to be out of an apartment and be able to fix up a home that we could call ours. In 1998 Tony attended a brand new school PineCrest Elementary and that is when I started with the PTA, and have enjoyed every minute of it.
Being apart of the PTA has changed me in so many ways.
So with you knowing a little about me, I just would like to say I look forward to being your Region Director for the next 2 years with many new and exciting ideas.
